SANT SEBASTIÀ AND MIQUEL BEACH:
Also known as the closest beach to W Hotel, it is one of the oldest beaches of Barcelona, despite having gone through great changes and transformations.

Limits: Barceloneta beach and Sant Sebastia beach.

SOMORROSTRO BEACH:
 
Located between the Hospital del Mar and Marina Street, Somorrostro Beach comprises a stretch of coastline that previously belonged to Barceloneta Beach. The beach was recently renamed to pay tribute to the shanty-town of Somorrostro which, after a hundred years of existence, was demolished for Franco’s visit to Barcelona in 1966.

MAR BELLA BEACH:
Mar Bella beach was created during the urban redevelopment that took place on the coast on the occasion of the 1992 Olympic Games. This beach has a nautical base from which water activities are carried out. LEVANTE BEACH 
Your ideal beach if you are looking for a more relaxed and quiet place. A relatively new beach, that was set up in 2006. This beach is located next to Nova Mar Bella Beach, a little further from the city center, so it is possible to find a quieter atmosphere and fewer crowds of people.

BEACHES IN THE SURROUNDINGS OF BARCELONA: 
The coast is not over and you may want to look for less crowded and quieter beaches in the vicinity of the big city.

To the south of the city we can find the beaches of El Prat, Castelldefels, Sitges, Vilanova, and Calafell. To the north of Barcelona we highlight the beaches that are located in the villages of the maresme: Mongat, Sant Pol, Vilassar…. And so on up to Blanes, the beginning of the renowned Costa Brava.

To get to these beaches there are two possibilities: either by car or by commuter train (easy, fast, good, nice and cheap)
